My artistic work ponded on the evolution of societies and urban complexes with a collective identity shaped by the local history. I rebuild a memory through themes which are interconnected to each other using the concept of the city in terms of a place of conjunction (meeting, unification). This meeting place is a vital crossroad in a cognitive process that begins and ends at the same time.
The city becomes the primary element to re-construct every place’s history but also it is a conduit to enhance the little individual stories. Today more than ever, each urban connection has deep social and historical roots, which are bounded to that complex cultural tie affecting the territory. The city develops into a refuge but also an utopia, and in these shelters I interlace my stories.
The character of identity, which can be personal, social or historical comes to purely adhere itself to its past and to the experienced geographical places.
